To All Flight and Ground Operations Personnel,
We want to take a moment to address the recent chatter regarding the Boeing 737 MAX 10 and assure everyone that Headquarters is fully engaged in resolving these matters with the seriousness they deserve.
Yes, Boeing flagged a flight guidance software issue to operators last month, the kind that can force a crew into manual or secondary pitch control during a go-around instead of trusting the automation to fly the aircraft.
FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said on September 28, 2026, that his agency will be “delaying the 10 until we’re satisfied that we don’t have an issue here,” and gave no timetable for when Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg’s newest, largest MAX variant clears that bar. We hear you. We see the maintenance logs.
We understand this aircraft is being asked to fly approaches, capacities, and cycles at the outer edge of what its systems were engineered to handle on the first try, and we want you to know that is exactly the kind of operational ambition Headquarters is proud to support.
Rest assured, everything remains safe and normal, right up until the moment the FAA tells us otherwise, at which point we will, of course, revise this sentence.

Our task force has developed a series of targeted band-aids, the aeronautical kind, engineered with the strength of real speed tape to hold this operation together while Boeing works through certification on the software fix. These are not the band-aids from the first aid kit in the break room. These are load-bearing and designed to work alongside every band-aid our frontline crews have already applied at management’s direction.
Crews are asked to continue working their MAX 10 flights normally, exactly as scheduled, while members of leadership traveling this week are asked to rebook onto flights operated by other aircraft in our fleet, purely as a scheduling courtesy, nothing more.
Thank you for your continued flexibility as we stretch this aircraft beyond what it was built to do, one band-aid at a time.
Warmly,
The Aluminum Lady
❤️ ✈️💋
